Katie and Cory held their wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful Front & Palmer, located in Philadelphia’s South Kensington Art District. The rustic loft-style ballroom is one of our favorite places to enhance with professional lighting, and lucky for us, the couple opted for several unique lighting additions that we had a lot of fun incorporating into the space.
For the ceremony, we draped the lengths of the ballroom to obscure the view of the tables, which were to be used for the reception portion of the evening. The draping also served as a soft, romantic backdrop, and also helped to command focus to the front of the altar area. We also directed 2 of the leko fixtures towards the front of the room to place a spotlight on Katie and Cory, and rounding out the altar’s design was our vintage-style Edison string lighting, which we hung in a V shape against the wall to softly illuminate the front of the couple during the exchanging of their vows:
At the conclusion of the ceremony, guests were escorted into the adjoining cocktail lounge, while the efficient and experienced team at Feast Your Eyes Catering converted the ballroom for dinner and dancing. During this transition, the Synergetic team removed the ceremony draping lines to expose the additional Edison lights, refocused the ceremony leko fixtures to serve as a dance floor wash, and focused the additional leko fixtures to project a patterned wash onto the rear long wall:
